“Was I vacillating when I wanted to do this? Do I make my plans according to the flesh, ready to say “Yes, yes” and “No, no” at the same time? As surely as God is faithful, our word to you has not been Yes and No. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed among you, Silvanus and Timothy and I, was not Yes and No, but in him it is always Yes. For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.” 2 Corinthians 1:17-22 (ESV)
Plans in Flesh: 1 Corinthians 15:19(ESV)
Many Christians are not knowing the true Gospel, and they end up planning everything about their life in the flesh: that is why as the verses above explain, their results are sometimes yes, it is successful or sometimes no, it is not happening. We walk in uncertainty all the time and expect nothing good, then how things will go well with us. And we pray and plan to live in this world only, but never go after spiritual blessings, then the word of God says, you will be more pitied.
God’s Seal – His Spirit: Acts 17:28-31(ESV)
God has given Holy Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee and put a seal on us who have received the anointing. Many did not receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit; and many received by having an experience once in their lives, and never making use of the anointing during the rest of their lives. Without walking in the spirit with the anointing of God, no one can live a victorious life in Christ Jesus. Christian life is spiritual life because we are offsprings of the true living God.
“But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.” Jude 1:17-23 (ESV)
