“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.”
Colossians 3:17, 23-25 (NKJV)
Start at home: Matthew 22:14(NKJV); John 10:10(NKJV)
All ministry work start from home where you can practice your new born again life. Jesus came to give life and life more abundantly. This transformed life should be reflected everywhere starting from home. So whatever your role in your family child, father or mother; you do your role as if you are serving the Lord and not to men; because as the verses above clearly say you actually serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Husband and wife too have this in mind when you serve each other and do it with reverence as if you are serving the Lord Jesus Himself and thank God the Father continuously. This will make your relationship easy.
Do to the society : Romans 10:10(NKJV); Hebrews12:15(NKJV)
Wherever you are, the Lord is watching all the time to reward you if you do as He desires; so keeping that in mind, let the words and deeds be clean. First of all if the heart is thinking right thoughts towards others, then your words and deeds also will align easily. Make being good to everyone as a habit so that it flows from you effortlessly. Do not develop any bitterness towards somebody that gets root in you and bring trouble. Cut off in the budding state itself and set your mind right. Some may find this lifestyle difficult or boring but our Lord God sees this is normal: which society of today made the opposite as norm. Beware, our God Father will do justice and show no partiality.
My testimony:
I was born again when I was 15 year old and I wanted to please God by obeying my parents and respecting the elders. I was able to do because as I was the youngest in the family and you were forced in a way to give respect. But when I got married at 23 and my husband too is my age I was struggling to obey and to submit. As it was too difficult to do my duties with love and respect, I asked the Lord what to do! Then the Lord clearly told me, “You know what to do and how to behave right. Put a smile on your face now and do it all right. Do not worry about what your husband does and not.” I had to listen to God; so I did as He told me, first with artificial smile and all that, but later it gave real joy and satisfaction. God taught me to be patient with my children too. Now I am 64 years old, still try my best and enjoy serving. Father God rewarded me very much in countless ways!! Glory to God alone!
