Please God having faith in Him:
“By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:5-6 (NKJV)
People’s lives are example for faith walk in the Bible from Enoch in the Genesis till the disciples of Jesus in the Acts for us to observe and follow. We have no excuses to give. If they could walk in faith, we can also. Life has not become tough as modern people explain to justify themselves. But the truth is, life has become so easy and comfortable, only laziness is hindering people from walking according to the Word of God. Many put their faith in their own abilities and hard work, but not in the living God, having childlike faith. Jesus said to His disciples, “Have faith in God.” (Mark 11:22)
Please God by walking in the spirit:
“So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Romans 8:8, 12-14 (NKJV)
People’s big excuse is, “I don’t feel like doing.” That is clear now, if you are doing everything the way you feel, then you are definitely walking in flesh. Your guideline should not be, “I feel like doing. I don’t feel like doing.” Your guideline should be, “The right thing to do. The wrong thing to do” according to the Word of God. This is how you walk in the spirit, not pleasing the flesh. Sin, disease and death connected things catch you up, if you live according to the flesh.
“But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Romans 8:9-11 (NKJV)
