Jesus’ Body:
“For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come— In the volume of the book it is written of Me— To do Your will, O God.’ ” then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Hebrews 10:4-7, 9-10 (NKJV)
For the Lord God to leave the Heaven and coming to Earth itself a very big change and it would have hit Him very badly. And on top of that He was to give His Body as sacrifice as a substitute for the bulls and goats and shed His Pure Blood, was a real challenge for the Lord Jesus; and that’s why His sweat became a droplet of blood as the torture in His mind, even when He thought about the sufferings. The Lord Jesus never experienced any disease or pain in His body but got to go through excruciating pain when all the sin, diseases and death were put on Him. Our Lord Jesus obeyed God’s Will in this manner to take our place of punishment and took the Judgement of the whole world upon Himself. 1 Peter 2:21-25(NKJV)
Jesus’ Blood:
“But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; Hebrews 9:11-14, 24 (NKJV)
Jesus as High Priest entered Heaven itself once for all; soon after He rose from the dead to purchase eternal redemption for those who believe in Him. Jesus’ blood cleanses us from dead works, then our evil consciousness, which reminds the sin in all of us, is also cleansed to tell us we are righteous in Christ Jesus. This assurance we have that we, who are the followers of Christ Jesus, are sinless; we also should receive power to have a victorious life serving the living God. The Blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son cleanses us from all sin. Hallelujah! 1 John 1:1-7(NKJV)
