FOR A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORD AND NEW REVELATIONS
Among the many promises of God the most important and precious promise is that He would give Jesus for us. “Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll— I have come to do your will, my God.’ ”” Hebrews 10:5-7 (NIV) Jesus’ Body is the only sacrifice approved and accepted by God for sin.
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.” Romans 8:31-34 (NKJV)
Beware. Do not give excuses to do God’s work. You will be condemned forever. Many think doing worldly routines like studying, working and taking care of the family are big deeds in the eyes of God. Yes we got to do all these to live soberly in this world. Even the pagans do the same. Jesus would say, “Harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few?” Like 10:2( NIV)
““Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die.” Ezekiel 18:4 NKJV How many Christians are deceived much by the message of grace thinking we can sin and get forgiveness from God just saying a prayer. The truth is we will not die physically but surely we die in the soul immediately. Of course the Lord forgives and forgets if we really repent and do not sin again. God’s love covers multitude of sins. You may be remembering your sin but God really forgets.
How many of us really felt that we have sin in us and truly asked God to forgive? For that we need to self-examine ourselves thoroughly and sincerely. Because if we confess our sins God is gracious enough to forgive us from all sins. Jesus explained how much are we forgiven affects the way we love Him. He said,“Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”” Luke 7:47 (NKJV)
In the New Testament, in many places you can read that there is a Book of Life kept in Heaven and names are written in them. And some names are not written in the Book of Life or some names are blotted out from the Book of Life. So we see there is a significant importance given to our names should be written in this Book. Jesus said, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”” Luke 10:18-20 (NIV)
We are the children of God so why do we face storms and troubles in life we might think. We want all things go right with us. Jesus said, ““I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”” John 16:33 (NIV) The Lord Jesus promises that He overcame so by believing His finished work on the Cross we can overcome too. It is our job to overcome not go under. Fight a good fight of the faith.
After you are Born Again in spirit, we have to grow in spirit as every individual born in flesh in this world grow to be a matured person. If the baby born in the world; got to drink milk first and then solids and grow, if they do not, we say there is something terribly wrong and we will be very much bothered. But in spiritual life, if one is born and start living by 1 drinking milk- know the Word of God and do not grow into 2 eating solids – putting what they learnt into practice; we are overlooking this big problem that is created by them in the Body of Christ.
If we ask this question to anyone, “Why are we on earth?” Surely no one knows the answer. But we, who are in Christ Jesus, know because He knew where He came from and where He is going (John 8:14); so we too learnt that we are from God and we go back to Him. We are passing through this world. But Jesus gave us more responsibilities than just passing through like others who do not know the Lord. How many of us know we are here for God’s Purposes and we are appointed as His Ambassadors and we are not an accident?!
During this time of lockdown the worship centres are closed for extended period. Question may arise if there is any good in coming together at the Church. Here is what Jesus said on the subject in John 4:23,24 (NKJV), “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
