FOR A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORD AND NEW REVELATIONS
In this world one should know how to be content. “Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.” I Timothy 6:6-8 (NKJV) All kind of things people do going out of the way is to get what they see others having. For everyone God has given grace to have some things which would reach them without striving much for it.
You should know about the truth of this life you are living and experiencing. The truth that all the things we see are created by God and there is a creator above everything. Nothing materialises without some one making it and definitely nothing evolves from one to another. People do not want to hear that their actions are not righteous enough in the sight of God so they want to deny. We should take responsibility of the life style we have chosen and cannot blame all the people around or God for whatever decisions we have made or actions we have done. The truth about God and you will make you free. Jesus prayed, “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” John 17:17 (NKJV)
Why do we waste our time going for the worldly things and lust after? You lose all of them once you leave the earth and of no use to you for the next world, which is eternal. Eternal is a very long time, which never ends. And you did nothing for having enough to live that life or saved anything for that, if you are too diverted to prepare and collect stuffs for here and now, which is a very short time in comparison to eternity. Have any one of you thought about that and is making preparations?
People generally avoid the topic of a spirit world out there, thinking all good or evil are happening right here. If at all they agree of spiritual world they say all happenings are from God and there is no devil. Some are too much involved in evil power knowingly. Among Christians there is no proper awareness of the evil one, our adversary who is waring against us all the time to defeat us and draw us away from God. But we see Lord Jesus was tempted by the devil and how the Lord took victory by using the Word of God. Lord Jesus also mentioned that Judas Iscariot was possessed by the devil and even how devil asked for Peter and that He prayed for him.
This is the very important teachings every Christian, who believes should be knowing and practising. Many are just going about in their lives in worldly pursuits; not knowing for which we were called or the glorious inheritance we have as sons /daughters of God or how much power had been given to us to live a victorious life. God had given us the same calling, inheritance and the resurrection power of Jesus Christ. Forget making the best of it. Are we aware of these privileges and power available to us?
Walking in love means, people think, that we show kindness, talk pleasant words all the time and make the other person feel comfortable all the time; even though they are on the wrong, one should not be correcting them or say anything harsh to them but allow them to be themselves. Walking as you feel like and letting others to do the same, is not walking in love. This is not the definition of love according to the Bible. This is love, that we walk according to Jesus’ commandments. 2 John 1:6.
The Lord gave you a word saying that He gives you authority over all the power of the enemy, that means, “it is done deal!” Yet how many of us believe we have such authority and operate on it. Many Christians think that only Jesus’ disciples could do it and they have nothing to do about it. They read Bible like historical records. But if you are a follower of Jesus, as you claim yourselves to be, then you are disciples and Jesus is still speaking to you – to take authority over the enemy and have victory.
Entering into the New Year, let us take a stand for our Lord Jesus Christ, who had come as our Saviour. Let us be an example and a witness to the people around us, through the way we operate, bringing glory to our Lord God, while we are looking up for the blessed hope and the glorious appearance, of our Great God and Saviour Jesus Christ, the second time to take us home with Him.
God is rich in goodness, forbearance and long-suffering. God is not rich in anger and punishment as the world projects, blaming God for all the bad things going on. Devil wants to give you the impression that God is not concerned or He is not making any sense; by knowing everything, He is not doing anything to stop the evil. But actually God had finished solving the evil created by the evil one and took victory. It is the people’s attitude towards God should be in the right place to receive all the goodness released by God Himself coming in flesh into the world.
Jesus Christ, our Lord did a perfect work purifying and making us righteous; by Him taking up the Cross for us. Not only that, He gave us power by His Holy Spirit to walk in holiness. So whatever we are and whatever we achieved, all because of Jesus. So we should never take credit for the good works we could do, but give all the glory to God in whom we get the glory. The word says, “But “he who glories, let him glory in the LORD.” For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.” 2 Corinthians 10:17-18 (NKJV)
