Imperishable Seed: John 1:12-13(NIV)
“For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.” 1 Peter 1:23-25(NIV)
As the illustration in the above passage, physical body from a perishable seed will always go towards decaying and death. But if you are really having the born again spiritual body with imperishable seed of God’s word then your body will rejuvenate again and again as long as you live by the Grace of God. For this we have to meditate on the word of God day and night and live a spiritual powerful life to the glory of God.
Imperishable inheritance: 1 Corinthians 15:44-49(NIV)
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.” 1 Peter 1:3-5 (NIV)
Not only on earth we have a healthy and strong soul and body, we will have a inheritance in heaven too, where we will get a body that is so young and vibrant as Jesus’ Resurrected body. That is a spiritual body with flesh and bone which can be on earth and can ascend to heaven as Jesus’ body did after His Resurrection. Glory to God. These treasures in the after death we should be reminded more to take our attention off this perishing world, not to be involved too much into this world, but set our motives and achievements to be ready to go to the next world which will never perish, spoil or fade away.
“Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” 1 Peter 1:17-19 (NIV)
