Training for Ambassadors:
“He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:15-21(NLT)
When we were youngsters that is during the 70s, this was the Gospel given to us who were led to Born Again experience. We were told, “ Jesus died for you, what are you going to do for Him?” And many of us committed our lives for the Lord to give back something for the price He paid for us individually. We decided to walk a holy life, set apart from the worldly people and the Lord mended our hearts first; to be submissive to His Commandments. That was such a blessed life, which no one could notice in the beginning, but transformation was happening within us.
Works of Ambassadors:
“We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient.” 2 Corinthians 10:1-6(NLT)
The ambassadors themselves come under obedience by bringing strongholds -1) human reasoning, 2) false arguments, 3) proud obstacles, 4) rebellious thoughts, which keep them from knowing God by fighting spiritual war against all these. Once their obedience to Christ Jesus is complete, then they will be bold to punish others who are disobedient still. All the above mentioned thought patterns are out there, but our job is to bring everything to the obedience of Christ Jesus. Jesus finished everything on the Cross for us; so we should allow His righteousness to dwell in us. 1 Corinthians 14:20(NLT)
This is the productive matured lives God wanted us to live for Him. Doing work in the Church environment is good, but do not stop with that; say an encouraging word, touch a soul with a prayer and tell them, “Jesus loves you”, in your homes, among friends, working places or in market places, wherever you are. The Lord God is after the salvation of souls: nothing more, nothing less. Let us remember this all the time.
