Heaven is our home:
“These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.” Hebrews 11:13-16(NKJV)
All the people who had faith in God in the Old Testament, as well as, in the New Testament considered their life on earthly countries as nothing compared to the Heaven Country which is far desired for and more homely than here and now, because of this they all lived a life detached from this worldly life and desires. This made them live more carefree and enjoyable life here fellowshipping with other travellers like them, be at peace and content with what they had been showered upon by their loving God and Saviour. Let us all take our eyes off this world, which is temporal and desire our heavenly home where we have everything eternal.
Seen earth was created from unseen heaven:
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” Hebrews 11:1-3 (NKJV)
People, even among so called Christians, believe in evolution and such kind of existence; but the Bible says all things we see were framed by the Word that proceeded from the mouth of God and all that we see came from the things that are not seen, in the sense, visible things came from invisible world. This is how our faith should be also, we have to see the substance of things we hoped for and evidence of things that are not seen. If we see something that is already existing, then there is no need for faith. Here is where many even among believers fail from receiving anything from God by faith. We have to see in our mind those things which have not seen yet, but believe we have it, then that will manifest visibly.
“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.” Jude 1:20-23 (NKJV)
