“But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin. Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,” Hebrews 10:15-20 (NKJV)
Through the Covenant God made in Jesus’ Blood and Body saying there is no longer an offering for sin is required. And if we have accepted this provision made by God, our sins are all removed and gone. On top of that God remembers them no more. Imagine, all the sins that we committed and going to commit God remembers no more! What a privilege?! First of all we should know for sure God is not remembering them anymore. We should also learn to forget our sins and go forward boldly to fellowship with God and be a faithful partner to do God’s work. Then we should also be empowered to forgive and forget all the sins others did to us knowingly or unknowingly.
At the same time we should remember all the good things God did to us and others did to us to be thankful. What we need to forget, that is bad happenings, we should practice to forget. By doing this, many of our mental and physical problems will disappear as snow in sunshine. You feel healthy and happy, already, I can guarantee. “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamour, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.” Ephesians 4:30-31 (NKJV)
Let us make a decision to forget all the bad happenings that the devil bombards and brings to your remembrance about yourself and others. We should not dwell in those bad thoughts even for a moment and encourage it. But should all your might reject them, as and when it pops up, and make war with them to leave. Then at one point, that kind of temptations will leave you, and you can have peace within you and with those people who hurt you too. You should not grieve the Holy Spirit of God in us but make Him well pleased with you. Revelation 22:12-13(NKJV)
