God’s ways are exactly opposite to World’s ways. There is a vast difference in what the WORLD thinks and what GOD planned for our short life here on earth. There are 2 kinds of wisdom are in operation. The BIBLE says,
James 3:13-18
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbour bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth, 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure, then peace- loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.
I Corinthians 1:20
20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
MAN thinks we have a short period to be alive and so we have to LIVE MAX HERE and do things something great & achieve great things or enjoy life to the fullest not worrying about the next life.
GOD’s plan is that you find Him, somehow in this short span of life here and reach eternal life here on earth and later the world GOD is going to create new, which is going to be our permanent living place.
We are here in this world to know God so that we can LIVE MAX IN ETERNITY. You can describe it this way – take the worldly mind, wash it with the JESUS’ BLOOD and fix it reverse then you will find GOD’S WAY for your life.
LIST OF WAYS THE WORLD CONTRADICT THE WAY OF GOD
- SEEING IS BELIEVING / BELIEVING IS SEEING Genesis 1:1-2; Mark 11:22-23
2 Corinthians 5:7
7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
World talks about what exists already- things it has got already but God talks about things that are not as if they are.The world says I will believe only when I see and have many things to prove.
But GOD looked at DARKNESS and said LET THERE BE LIGHT. (Genesis 1:1-2) Hallelujah! So in God’s Kingdom we have to believe before it comes to existence.
He wants you to SPEAK to your mountain and say be removed and caste into the sea and BELIEVE what you said then it will be DONE to you.(Mark 11:22-23)
2. FATE / CHOICE
Deuteronomy 30:19, 20
19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
World talks everything goes according to the FATE and you have no control over anything except some hard-work and manipulation.
GOD says CHOOSE, I have kept both LIFE & DEATH before you.
It is the choices we make leads us to the place we are in the life. Don’t blame God when bad things happen to you. God has nothing bad in Him to give to you. He has given you free will to choose. Choose Life and Blessing for you.
3. SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST/ MY STRENGTH IS PERFECT IN YOUR WEAKNESS
2 Corinthians 12: 9-10
9 But He(Jesus) said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
World says if you are the fittest, the strongest, smartest and knowledgable then you will have success in your life. Otherwise you are failure.
But God says, when you are weak then you are strong in JESUS. When you come down to your lowest level of trying and working hard and give up and say GOD i need you and I cannot do anything without you. Then GOD lifts you up in HIS STRENGTH and establishes you to become overcomer and more than conqueror.
4. BE SUCCESSFUL & BE PROUD / GOD RESISTS THE PROUD
James 4: 6
6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:
“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”[a]
World teach you it is right to be PROUD about your achievements and encourages you to get all the credit to your self efforts.
But GOD says I am against the proud but show mercy to the HUMBLE. All Glory belongs God alone because of Jesus finished work on the Cross is what we should depend on. Those who boasts, boast in the Lord JESUS.(1Corinthians 1:31)
5. KNOWLEDGE &INFORMATION/ WISDOM & UNDERSTANDING
Proverbs 4: 7
7 Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.
World says gather more knowledge, study more and collect more information. What was the tree from which Adam ate and sin came into this world TREE OF KNOWLEDGE of good and evil. Knowing good and evil won’t help you. God said it will destroy you.
Knowing GOD will help you. Adam was supposed to eat the fruit from the TREE OF LIFE that is JESUS. JESUS said I AM THE WAY, TRUTH AND LIFE. (John 14:6) Hallelujah! JESUS is our WISDOM from God- i.e. our righteousness, holiness and redemption. (1Corinthians 1:30)
6. SEEK WEALTH& FAME / SEEK GOD’S KINGDOM & HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS
Matthew 6: 33
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
World says cross seas and seek for the wealth. That is why people go all over the world to earn money and have more possessions.
JESUS said seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these other things will be added to you. We are here to know God and receive His righteousness which is given freely in Jesus. And not to establish ourselves and to obtain our own righteousness as the world teaches us.
