What is this good news or gospel? We should know what it is to receive and to preach to others.
# 1 GOD RECONCILED MANKIND TO HIMSELF. Colossians 1:21-23(NIV)
This is the gospel- God through the death of JESUS’ physical body is making you 1) holy 2) without blemish 3) and free from accusation in His sight.
This is the gospel you have to preach to all that they were alienated from God, cut off from God but now God has reconciled, taken them back to himself. Tell people that God loves them. God is good. God came seeking after man. Because most of the people think God is somewhere not bothering about them.
Why is it the Gospel of Grace? Hebrews 10:8-10(NIV)
In accordance with the Law, sacrifices were offered. But God made One Body as sacrifice. In Psalm 40:8(NIV) it is added ‘Law was in his heart” Jesus kept all the Laws so He was the best body, soul, mind and heart, a complete sacrifice that pleased GOD. The blood of goats or cattles only covered the sin. But the blood of JESUS washes away the sins. JESUS SACRIFICED HIMSELF ONCE FOR ALL. SO IT IS GRACE/ UNMERITED FAVOUR OF GOD. Glory to God!
Tell the people this. JESUS is the answer for all world’s problem.
How are we made Holy? —–JESUS BECAME OUR SIN
How are we made Healthy?…..WITH THE STRIPES JESUS TOOK
How are we Blessed? ……….JESUS BECAME A CURSE ON THE CROSS
How are we made Rich?……..JESUS BECAME POOR
Because this is so simple human minds are not accepting. Many think how can this be? But this is the Will of God. GOD MADE IT SO SIMPLE. THIS IS THE TRUTH.
We should first of all accept as a child and enjoy all the benefits. And then tell others to come and enjoy. We are not doing our job well and that is why we find that the world is still doubting. Because they still depend on the Law. Law is given to show that God’s standards are high and we are not able to keep it. GOD’S MERCY IS WHAT WE SHOULD DEPEND ON FOR OUR SALVATION.
Matthew 9:10-13(NIV) Here the Law keepers were asking JESUS why He is not following the Law? As per the Psalms 1 we should not walk with wicked, stand with sinners, sit with mockers. But JESUS was sitting with sinners and eating with them!
Matthew 12:1-8(NIV) Here the Law keepers demanding JESUS asking why His disciples were not keeping the Sabbath as it is given as the third commandment in 10 commandments!
JESUS TELLS THEM GO AND LEARN ‘I DESIRE MERCY, NOT SACRIFICE.’ if you know what it is, you would not condemn the innocent.’ Not by people keeping rules and doing some rituals. Sacrifices of Jesus was more than enough. So if you tell others read the Bible, pray and fast. They too say we are praying 5 times a day or doing puja and fasting and doing all the other rituals. Tell them it is not about what they do but what God did and set us all free.
God accepts you as you are because He put all the punishment that is for us on JESUS. Even in the court once punishment was given, you are set free on bail, they won’t judge you again. So do God, who put all our punishment on JESUS and set us free. GOD IS RIGHTEOUS BY MAKING US STAND IN RIGHTEOUSNESS. Let us not put burden on people saying do this, do that. Let us give the good news that GOD has reconciled them already. All they got to do is believe. This way we can win many.
## 2 GOD IS OUR FATHER
Romans 8:12-17(NIV) GOD did not give JESUS alone but also sent us the HOLY SPIRIT, the power from heaven.
Holy Spirit will dwell among us and live in us. So that we will not walk according to the flesh nature of us. But the Holy Spirit who dwells in, gives us a new spirit and testifies us that WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD.
Tell people that GOD is no more the Creator and you are the Creature. GOD IS FATHER TO US. We have a relationship as Father and sons/daughters. God gained more than He lost. God is in the process of restoring mankind to Himself, He took advantage of this fallen state of man and made us all sons/daughters to himself. He is Our Heavenly Father and we are his children. Jesus always told us God as My Father, Your Father, Our Father.
GOD LOVES WHEN WE CALL HIM ‘DADDY’ YOU SPEAK TO HIM AND ASK, ‘DADDY I WANT THIS’. IT IS AS SIMPLE AS THAT. GOD IS OUR FATHER, NO MORE GOD
