It is all of Jesus and none of us. We can be good Christians because we get power from the Holy Spirit. We should make sure we give God all the glory for whatever good in us. “Jesus said, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”” Matthew 19:17 (NKJV). “For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.” 2 Corinthians 10:12 (NKJV)
All Glory Belongs to God:
Many scripture verses tell us that we should give God the glory. One of our main job to do is to worship God and give all the glory which rightfully belongs to Him. Because God is the One who sought after mankind when they were deep in sin and darkness. “The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.” Isaiah 9:2 (NKJV) “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”” John 8:12-18(NKJV)
All Glory Belongs to Jesus:
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:5-11(NKJV)
All Glory Belongs to Holy Spirit:
Our Christian life totally depends on receiving the Holy Spirit and do things with His empowerment. We can see examples in the life of Jesus’ disciples, particularly Peter and Paul. Before and after they have received the Holy Spirit anointing. So all glory belongs to Holy Spirit who is at work even now among believers. Jesus said, ““I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.” John 16:5-15(NKJV)
Glory to God alone!
