“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John 4:4-8 (NKJV)
These Word of God is very clear that the spiritual world is divided into only two groups by God that is one group, who of God by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour; and another group, who are of the devil in the worldly system rejecting Jesus thinking that they are better off on their own but actually under full control of the devil.
We are of God—Jesus: 1 John 7-9(NKJV)
Those who have Jesus in their hearts think differently, speak and act differently because they have submitted themselves under full control of the Lord God and do everything lovingly cooperating with God who is Love. If you are in union with God you walk in love automatically and effortlessly because His love fills and overflows from our hearts and minds touching people around us. Glory to God!
“No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:12-16 (NKJV)
They are of the world—Devil: 1 John 3:10-12(NKJV)
Those who want to live away from Jesus and go along with the world, they are already fully influenced by the devil in one way or other and he spreads strifes and hatred inwardly to start with and from thinking to speaking and grows out of control into actions which will destroy their life. When you touch water you are wet or when you touch fire you are burnt. This is the trick of the devil always who is subtle and venomous like a snake.
“Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” John 8:42-44 (NKJV)
