“looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.” Titus 2:13-15 (NKJV)
Jesus is delaying so all should repent:
Our Great God and Saviour Jesus Christ is coming soon and there is no doubt about it. It may look He is delaying but He is definitely coming to take those who believe and waiting for Him. He is waiting with long sufferings so that He can have many people come to repentance and accept Him so that none will perish. So we have work, till then, giving the Gospel to as many people as possible.
“But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:8-9 ( NKJV)
In the twinkling of the eyes, our bodies change as His:
Jesus will take us in rapture changing our lowly bodies to glorious bodies, corruptible to incorruptible and mortal to immortality. Glory to God alone! Imagine the time it takes for you to twinkle your eyes, that fast we will be changed – dead in Christ first and those who are alive and remaining.
“Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.””1 Corinthians 15:51-54 (NKJV) 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18(NKJV)
We should give this good news, the Gospel so that people will have Blessed Hope in hopeless situations like these now in the world. We are all holding on to our salvation and making sure that we fall not because only a little while more, we who are in Christ Jesus will be gone with Him and be with Him forever and ever. Amen. This is our hope and proclamation as Jesus announced about His Second Coming even before He went on the Cross. Hallelujah!
“And the high priest arose and said to Him, “Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You?” But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, “I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!” Jesus said to him, “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”” Matthew 26:62-64 (NKJV)
