“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:4-5 (ESV)
Yes, all who are born again are supposed to lead a victorious life like an over comer and more than a conqueror. If you are struggling in your life, then you should empower with the word of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit to be one God wanted us to be and that is why Jesus came into this world. Ephesians 6:10-18(ESV)
Overcomer:
Jesus said, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.””John 16:33 (ESV)
We think being a Christian I should not have any problem at all. Wrong. Jesus clearly told that we have tribulation in the world. God made us to overcome all situations because Jesus finished his job by overcoming the world for us. So if we are walking in His footsteps we should overcome if we really try. Instead of blaming others and complaining to God about your problems, let us take responsibility and train ourselves with the power of God to overcome. We are supposed to be called overcomer not going under every problem we face as if we have no help from above. Expect whole heaven to back you up and speak to your problems to be removed and gone in the mighty name of Jesus.
More than conqueror:
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:31-39(ESV)
May be you are feeling like Paul and other disciples were treated. Surely we have a cloud of saints who have gone ahead of us went through the same way we go through, suffering for being a follower of Jesus, learning all the humble way of doing things and wondering why there are always some difficulties or other following me. But as the words above describe, we are more than conquerors in all of those difficulties. God is the one who has given His own Spirit to dwell in us to bear everything that comes our way and make us escape everyone of them triumphantly and with great joy. What a lovely Saviour and what a lovely life to lead with Jesus with you in every step of the way. Glory to God.
“Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” 1 John 4:4-6 (ESV)
