Love & Acceptance:
“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.” I John 4:17-19 (NKJV); John 15:9(NKJV)
God is love, and when we associate with Him, His love rubs on us. His love is the highest form called the ‘Agape’ love in Greek. When we know God loves us with this much love, which is exhibited in Jesus on the Cross; all fear goes out of us and you have boldness in the day of Judgement. Not only that we will not bother to get love from people around, and complain, if you are not satisfied; because you were already full of the love of the Father God in you. Therefore you start to show and give love to others around you instead, as Jesus did in this world.
Love & Power:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,” II Timothy 1:7-10 (NKJV); Ephesians 3:17-19(NKJV)
As we see a fearful person has a wrong spirit that torments and tries to destroy life, but the Spirit of God gives us power, love and sound mind. Gospel is the power of God through that we are saved and called for holiness, not according to our works, but by God’s grace and purpose in Christ Jesus. Jesus has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to us to receive by putting our faith in this Gospel. Such a vast change happens when you receive Christ Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, from death to life and from mortality to immortality. Then where is the place for fear, if you have known this precious good news and start believing its truth. As Jesus is, so are we in this world.
