“And Jesus said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NKJV)
Here to Paul, the Lord Jesus told that His strength will be perfected in Paul’s weaknesses. So now Paul started enjoying the power of Christ coming upon him to fill in where he was suffering. Many more testimonies are there of people been miraculously healed of their physical and mental problems and were then used in the Kingdom of God. God could use these people better than the ones who are naturally talented. This He does to humble those who unnecessarily boast in their strength. No flesh should glory in the presence of Almighty God.
“For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.” 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 (NKJV)
Only God should be exalted in glory and no one else. Even when we testify for the miraculous things God did in our lives we got to be careful not to exalt ourselves but should give God all the glory. Otherwise your testimony will be boastful and end result is you will be in trouble. Because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). Be humble and let the Lord give you His power to do all things and He also gets all the glory because it is His work. So if you are weak in any area, give place to God to take over saying a prayer asking God to take complete control and He does that and you will find yourselves flowing effortlessly and efficiently. Let God get all the glory.
My testimony is that whenever I was asked to pray I used to freak out wondering what to pray and how to pray. But I gave that area to Jesus asking Him to take over and now I boldly open my mouth saying “Father God” and the contents of my prayers start flowing and I end with “In Jesus’ Name, amen”. And the prayers became more precise and powerful blessing me and many. All glory belongs to God.
