War is not between flesh and blood: Ephesians 1:15-21(NKJV)
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:10-13 (NKJV)
The devil comes through people only but we should not consider them as our enemies. This is more important. Many battles we lose because we go after the people and make enemies among us who are our brothers and sisters. We should see the source, the evil behind these people and attack him, but embrace the flesh and blood around us. That is why the verse above mentions that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, the brothers and sisters in the Lord. Instead we should overlook and embrace them to have their support and fellowship.
Now to go against the principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness, wicked spirits in the air; we need to have the power of Jesus Christ working in us, who took victory over death and is now seated on the right hand of Father God, far above all principalities, power, might and dominion, and every name that is named, in this world and the world to come. The same mighty power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is the glorious inheritance for all the saints, if we believe, we can also receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation to have this exceedingly great and mighty power, which we should have to win the enemy, the devil.
Put on the armour of Light: Romans 13:11-14(NKJV)
Knowing the time is short, now it is high time to awake out of sleep, for now our salvation and the approach of the Lord Jesus Christ coming back is nearer than when we first started believing in Him. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore cast off the works of darkness and put on the armour of light. Let us walk properly and put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not allow the flesh to fulfil its lusts, but allow the Holy Spirit of God to rule and reign in you.
“Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—” Ephesians 6:14-18 (NKJV)
These are the armours that we need to have, as we all know anyone is going to war goes in full preparation with their dresses and arms to keep and to know how to use as well, and above all cooperate with the leader and fellow warriors. Let us see in detail.
Armours to protect:
- Waist girded with truth
- Breastplate of righteousness
- Shoe on the feet with gospel of peace
- Shield of faith in hand
- Helmet of salvation
Armours to attack:
- Sword of Spirit the Word of God
- Praying in the Spirit with perseverance
You should put on the above armours that are vital without nothing missing, cooperate with the leader, Lord Jesus to hear Instructions when you pray in tongues and do accordingly. There should be unity with fellow warriors to have more strength, because one will chase out thousand and two ten thousand. Deuteronomy 32:30(NKJV)
