But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. Adam’s Sin: “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.” Psalms 51:5 (NKJV) 1 John 1:8-10(NKJV)
By birth into the world all are born with the sin nature, even if you are born in a Christian family. Adam’s sin runs in our DNA. This is why trying to do everything right will not save you. You have to be born again by faith in Christ Jesus by confessing your sins and accepting the grace of God available freely to empower you not to sin hereafter.
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV)
Christ’s Righteousness: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” II Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) Romans 5:14-15(NKJV)
And once you are born again you should also got to realise that your DNA is changed into One like Christ Himself and transform your mind accordingly. After confessing your sins if you again live a sinful life and keep on confessing everyday is not walking in righteousness. You have to confess now that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus everyday so that you can walk victoriously overcoming sin.
“Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.” 1 Peter 1:22-23, 25 (NKJV)
