1) SAVE YOUR OWN SOUL FIRST
First of all we should save our soul from destruction. Jesus said “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”
Matthew 16:26(NKJV) See our soul is the part that we have to work to change. God cannot. God had saved your Spirit from destruction and redeemed you through Jesus Christ our Lord; but it all rests in your hands to save your soul and body by cooperating with God’s Power that is given to us by the Holy Spirit; not by your own Will Power which will fail you terribly.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Corinthians 10:4-6(NKJV) We bring every bad characters and all kinds of arguments under the obedience of Christ Jesus. Not to our obedience but Jesus’ completed obedience on behalf of us all. You are ready to win other souls only when your obedience is complete in Christ Jesus.
9 FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
If you have really saved your soul and walking with the Holy Spirit these fruits will be seen in you.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is 1 love, 2 joy, 3 peace, 4 long-suffering, 5 kindness, 6 goodness, 7 faithfulness, 8 gentleness, 9 self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” Galatians 5:22-24(NKJV) With the Power of the Holy Spirit working in you, this is possible.
That’s why Jesus was explaining to his disciples about such people who have not gone through the changes in themselves. “He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”” Matthew 15:13-14(NIV) So every believer’s job is to save his or her soul; otherwise you have not received your Salvation to your benefit.
2) SAVE OTHER SOULS AS MANY AS POSSIBLE
You lead others not only by the word of God but through your own experience that helped to save your own soul and that way you can influence others. And also by passing on your Holy Spirit anointing in you by laying on of hands.
“Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.” 1 Timothy 4:14-16(NKJV)
In the course I took to learn how to give the Gospel to any person, they taught us to give your Born Again testimony in 2 minutes. You should be short and sweet to get full attention. And also you can call them for dinner or a game; or help them in baby sitting or go shopping with them. This way have some interaction with them and during that time talk about Jesus & that how much He loves them.
9 GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the 1 word of wisdom,2 word of knowledge,3 faith,4 gifts of healings, 5 working of miracles,6 prophecy, 7 discerning of spirits, 8 different kinds of tongues, 9 interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.” 1 Corinthians 12:7-11(NKJV)
All the work we do for the Gospel or for the Kingdom of God, should be done by the Power of the Holy Spirit in you; otherwise it is impossible to do with physical power and strength. These 9 gifts are given for the benefit of other souls you are leading. So receive the gifts and use them with reverential fear. If you are on your own, Our Lord Jesus will reject.
