“Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”1 John 5:1-5 (NKJV)
All the commandments of God is based on love which is shown towards God and His people around us. How love can be demonstrated is by keeping His Commandments the verses above clearly states. Not Ten Commandments as in the Old Covenant but Jesus’ Commandments mentioned as “His Commandments” in the New Covenant all over New Testament. Only if you follow what Jesus taught and commanded to His disciples step by step and wants us also to be His disciples when we follow Him, we can be successful as He expects us to be. When you receive His own power from the Holy Spirit He has sent we can overcome the world and following His Commandments will not be burdensome.
Victory over the world with belief:
“For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”” Romans 10:10-11, 13 (NKJV)
One group of people are hearing the commandments of Jesus but speculating on it. Another group tried to keep His Commandments on their own strength and gave up. By God’s Grace many received the power of Holy Spirit and went on trying and succeeded giving God all the glory. We have to believe everything the Lord Jesus told, confess boldly by our mouth and use the supernatural power of God to execute and take victory.
Victory over the world with faith:
“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” James 2:14, 17-18 (NKJV)
The faith in the Lord God in our heart is not enough but we should put it into action by stepping forward to do the impossibles. Jesus wanted us to be supernatural like Him and if we try putting our faith in Him, He will be very pleased to help. I always say, “The whole heaven will back us up if we keep Jesus’ Commandments and do healings and miracles”. We are doing our part by taking the risk and God is the One who is doing all the supernatural work through us and His Name will be glorified. Amen. Hallelujah!
