The Lord Jesus Christ delivers you from all persecutions: Mark 10:29-30(NKJV)
“But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:10-13 (NKJV)
Desire to live Godly life daring the persecution by not settling for comfortable life. Lord Jesus can deliver us from all persecutions, but attention is to be given to carefully keep the following:
- Doctrine
- Manner of life
- Purpose
- Faith
- Long-suffering
- Love
- Perseverance
Learn the Holy Scriptures well and also from the elders who taught you: Hebrews 12:1-3(NKJV)
“But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:14-17 (NKJV)
The Lord Jesus appeared to Paul and taught him about the New Covenant including the gentiles: so we should follow the teachings of Paul who wrote most of the New Testament. Old Testament is for the Jews to follow. This is why many Christians are going astray. We should follow what Jesus taught us that are written in the 4 gospels; which later mentioned as His Commandments, not 10 Commandments. Should be very careful to divide the scriptures properly and take what is needed and leave what is not for us. Everything is written truly in the Word of God. Just because it is in the Bible, you should not associate yourself with the mistakes people made, and think it is okay. We should find out the people who did the right way and follow them.
Desire to live Godly in Christ Jesus: Titus 2:11-13(NKJV)
“If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.” 1 Timothy 6:3-4, 7-9 (NKJV)
