“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”” Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV)
We are supposed to partner with God to do anything in this world for us or for others. Otherwise, you will be tired and over-worked. Jesus is calling you to come to Him to receive rest He gives and not only that if you partner with Him and learn from Him, you will find rest for your souls. There are two parts to this calling; the first part is to your body and the second one is for your soul which are very obvious here. Jesus also assures you that His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
Jesus gives you rest:
We have to come to Jesus as if He is the only source available to us, which is true also. If you sincerely come expecting to receive complete help and deliverance from Jesus, that is called faith, which will help Jesus to flow in His virtue and power. In all the miraculous healing that took place wherever Jesus went, people were approaching Him with faith. Even in our time many miracles are happening among poorer people because they have no one to turn to but to God. Let us also approach with our prayers and petitions to get answers completely and totally trusting in the supernatural to receive miracles.
You will find rest:
Another thing to do is to take Jesus’ burdens upon us and learn from Him. We should not go to receive alone when crisis happens to you but you must sit at His feet everyday and learn about His concerns over you and the people in the world. Jesus came to save us and the whole world through people like us. God is at work even now as Holy Spirit and we are called to be the co-workers with Him. When we spend more time learning from Him, only then we will find rest in our souls. We are working along with the Holy Spirit getting His guidance and help so the work gets easy and light.
“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” I John 5:3-5 (NKJV)
