“For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.” Romans 8:29-30(NKJV)
God is leading, those who are taking the Gospel of Christ very serious and responding to it with complete obedience with reverential fear of God, step by step to bring them completed in the glorious image of His own Son. Jesus is the firstborn with all the brothers and sisters that are chosen by God.
- God foreknew: Ephesians 1:3-6(NLT)
God knew us already, who would follow His Son Jesus Christ, before the foundation of the world was made. So if you are a true follower, then you are very special in the sight of God and also you have a responsibility to do the works for the Lord God who chose you.
- God predestined: Ephesians 1:11-14(NLT)
God chose us to do His Will on earth so that we, who trusted Jesus, should bring praises to His glory. And He gave us His Holy Spirit whom He promised, who is our guarantee of our inheritance in Christ Jesus and to His finished work on the Cross.
- God called: 2 Timothy 1:8-9(NLT)
We should not be ashamed of the testimony of the Lord Jesus, because He is the one who saved us and called us to live a holy life, not depending on our own good works, but by the grace of God through Jesus Christ.
- God justified: Romans 3:25-26(NLT)
God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for our sin and in this way God justified us, made us right with Him, so all who believe, that Jesus died for us shedding blood, are set free without any punishment, even we did sin. God did this to demonstrate His righteousness for He is fair and just.
- God glorified: John 17:22-24(NLT)
All who are following Jesus are His disciples, not believers alone, disciples, then we are disciplined to be like the image of God’s Son. So the prayer Jesus is praying is now for you that He has given God’s glory upon you so that we all be one with God.
We are created in the image of God and we are now redeemed back to the image of God’s Son. God made us from just being a creation into sons and daughters in His Son, Jesus Christ. All praise, honour and glory to God!
