“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land.” Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NKJV
God created the whole world beautifully with His Word and He created man in His own image as Supreme Being with His own hands and put His breath in him. He created woman out of man’s rib bone. God blessed them to be fruitful, increase, fill the earth and subdue it. He gave them authority over fish of the sea, birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground. But man in his disobedience sinned, gave away their God ordained dominion over the earth to devil and had fallen short of the glory of God. Until then God was in direct contact with Adam and Eve, but sin separated them and they hid from God. Adam & Eve became conscious of their nakedness. God even forewarned Cain, who was the first murderer, about his anger which will lead him to kill his own brother and when he murdered Abel, GOD put a mark on him to protect him! Sin abounded in the earth.
God made a plan for saving the human race from sin through Noah who God saw as righteous. But no-one except Noah’s family of eight listened to the warnings of the flood. Through Noah’s ark and the flood God amputated sin out and raised a new human race and a new generation of animal species. Down the generations God chose Moses to rescue His people, the Israelites, from slavery in Egypt and bring them to the land of Canaan that He had promised Abraham. It took many miracles from God which included the splitting of the Red Sea for the Israelites to be brought out of Egypt. But yet the people kept murmuring and complaining against Moses and God; even though they were preserved and fed miraculously with Manna even while they were in the wilderness. God in all His forbearance remained faithful and continued with His plan for liberation of His people. He did not give up on them. God gave the Ten Commandments and instructed His Laws for living to His people through Moses. God revealed His standard of Holiness only to illustrate how hard it is to satisfy His level of Holiness and why they needed a saviour.
Sin continued to abound in the world and God came down in the human form of His Son Jesus Christ to completely blot out sin from mankind to be reconciled with Him.
The Word was with God in the beginning and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. Through Him all things were made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. John 1:1-4.
Yes, JESUS was the Word. He gave His Life shed Pure Blood to save us from all our sins and resurrected from the grave winning over death, disease, curse, sin and the devil who is the cause of all the troubles. All we got to do is believe that Jesus did everything for us and accept the free Salvation.
GOD has concern over everyone who is born in this world, wants every man and woman to be saved and come under knowledge of the truth. What is the truth? Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to Father except through me” – John 14:6. Let us not take our life easy or blame God for all the wrong choices we made and perhaps continue to make. God did not cause any of that; on the contrary a great sacrifice was made by Jesus to save each and everyone of us. Mankind now again has the freedom to choose life or death; there is nothing in between. So choose Tree of life. CHOOSE JESUS!
