““I do not receive honour from men. But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. How can you believe, who receive honour from one another, and do not seek the honour that comes from the only God?” John 5:41-44 (NKJV)
God does not want you to be people pleaser: because doing that you will fall from the standard He has set for His children. If you watch the activities of the early church; the apostles refuse to listen to even the authorities over them, but did what the Lord told them to do and that is why they were beaten and put in the jail and some died as blood witnesses for the Lord. Nowadays Bishops and pastors are ready to compromise the doctrine to please the congregation. The believers are supposed to submit to the spiritual authorities but things are happening the other way around. Acts 4:13-21(NKJV)
Let everyone’s attention is not to promote themselves or flatter others; but to get honour and glory from the One God, whose honour we should seek and glorify His Name alone when we get together in the church or any spiritual gatherings. It is all about God and His only begotten Jesus Christ, it is not at all about people. When we come together if we exalt the Lord Jesus, the Name above all Names, God will be well pleased and His glorious presence will descend mightily and healings and miracles will breakout automatically and effortlessly.
Our attentions should be on the true word of God and His presence always. There is nothing to contradict or argue because what the word of God is saying is the final word. Jesus said we cannot believe if we do not seek the honour that comes from the only God, we just saw in the verses above. Let more revelation of the Word come out for us to enjoy and to receive with faith.
“You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.” John 5:39-40 (NKJV)
