The Bible teaches us in 1 Corinthians 1:30-31 that Jesus became for us Wisdom from God, Righteousness, Sanctification and Redemption.
“And because of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” – (ESV)
WISDOM: The world and its education system can only give information; but true wisdom, knowledge and understanding comes from the Lord. (Proverbs 2:6). Worldly wisdom is foolishness to God as is written in 1 Cor. 3:18,19 . We should learn from Jesus and His words, follow His commandments and live according to them. Jesus taught “I am not of this world” (John 8:23) We do not belong to this world as we are supernatural beings and therefore we can’t live in conformity with the worldly system. But we Christians tend to live according to the worldly system but expect Kingdom blessings to be part of our lives; but the worldly system does not function or bring results for us anymore.
RIGHTEOUSNESS: If someone is bound and put into prison, can that person free himself? Not possible isn’t it? He needs someone to come and save him. That is what God did by sending His Son Jesus to save us. Righteousness of God is given to us who believe through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 3:21-24). Because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God so He got to give that back to us. We cannot earn righteousness and the glory on our own.

SANCTIFICATION: In the theological sense, things are sanctified when they are set apart for the purpose God intends. Sanctification is a process and a human being is sanctified and made holy by God himself (1 Thess. 5:23) , by the Word (John 17:17) and the Holy Spirit who dwells in us (1 Cor. 6:11). That is why if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ he is not His. “You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him.” (Romans 8:9). Let this be a call to the attention of all who have not received the Holy Spirit anointing yet.
REDEMPTION: It is the action of regaining or gaining possession of something that is lost or pawned in exchange for payment. Through what Jesus did on the cross by giving up His life as a down payment (propitiation) for our sins the total exchange took place and we were redeemed. Our redemption is through Christ Jesus as Paul has written “are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” in Romans 3:24 and again reiterated in his letters to Colossians 1:13,14 and Ephesians 1:7 . Remember, it is a gift and a gift is always free.
MY WITNESS: I do not know about others but I am sure how I was before Jesus chose me. When young I was considered the worst in my family of three girls. My sisters were fair and pretty, they were wise and studied well. I was neither smart nor sure of what’s going on in my life and it seemed everyone looked down upon me in my family. Of course because of that I was desperate and when I heard about Jesus’ love; I just grabbed Him and got saved. But now I turned out to be the best and the wisest in our family. My elder sister asked me how I became wise, I told her that I am the same, but Jesus lives in me who is very wise. Praise Jesus! Glory belongs to God alone. I am very sure where all the good in me came from. Jesus is my wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. I have nothing to boast about. I would like to say that all of us should realise this, be mindful and take action to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour (Titus 3:4). Amen
