“So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” James 1:19-21 (NKJV)
Swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath:
We should be swift to hear the Word of God which is freely available to everyone by God’s grace and slow to speak and slow to wrath, that’s why you are given 2 ears, but only 1 mouth. For your wrath will spoil your righteous standing with God. We should also have to get rid of all filthiness of condemning the preachers and finding fault in them. All the Word of God is pure and holy that come from whoever the preacher is. The Lord Jesus told us to listen to the preachers and teachers of the Word and do; but not to do according to their lifestyle, which may differ. Matthew 23:1-15(NKJV) So your job is to listen to the sermons available, listen and find out which are genuine by your own meditation and make changes in your heart. Because the Holy Spirit of God is still at work through people like them and making many updates, which you will miss, if you are careless.
“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.” Colossians 4:2-6 (NKJV)
Walk in wisdom, redeeming the time:
Only learning all the time is not enough, we should receive with humility all that you learnt to save your own souls and then speak in your own world to your family and friends, so that the mystery of Christ Jesus is revealed to all. We have to walk in wisdom redeeming the time. Jesus said, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.””John 9:4-5 (NKJV)Time is still available for you to do God’s Work, so continue to speak with full of grace and seasoned with salt, in the sense, you should know how to answer to people around you. Make a decision to follow His footsteps, The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are less for the end-time revivals. Matthew 9:35-38(NKJV)
