“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” Colossians 3:12-14 (NIV); Ephesians 429-32(NIV)
God’s chosen people are holy and dearly loved by God:
We are very special people in the world with whom God Himself made a covenant with Jesus’ Blood; and so we should be behaving so much out of the way and the worldly people should look at you and wonder how could this be possible and be attracted to our Lord Jesus. The qualities mentioned above are to be our lifestyle by all means; and you should not give excuses trying to put the blame on others for your behaviour. Take responsibility for your wrong behaviour and correct them quickly and walk in love immediately. This is what the Lord Jesus came to teach and to empower you to do also.
Jesus prayed, ““My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” John 17:20-23 (NIV)
God’s glory is shared in love and unity:
The above prayer of Jesus explains the heart of His and the Father God and that they have given us, the followers, His Glory. We should all be one in unity with love, as the Lord Jesus in God, the Father and the Father God in Jesus; so we should all be in Jesus and God and also among us. Wow! This kind of close unity in love is where we share God’s Glory and this we should exhibit to the worldly people to show that God sent Jesus and loved the world. If we have not completed this love in togetherness, then we are in trouble.
“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbour as yourself.” If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.” Galatians 5:13-15 (NIV)
So stop pointing out finger and take life serious to walk according to the expectations of our Lord God. Without love and holiness we cannot meet Jesus, who is coming very soon and our time to prepare and to lead many is almost over. Let us leave the worldly cares and involve in the End time Revival that is taking place all over the world.
