“So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.” As He also says in another place: “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek”; who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,” of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.” Hebrews 5:5-11 (NKJV)
Learn obedience by suffering persecution:
Perfection comes in our character when we learn to obey God and we are ready to take the hardship on all cost without bailing out. Our Lord Jesus kept us a path to follow and we Christians got to take that path with lot of joy to endure as the Lord did, without complaining and murmuring, only then the reward for those who overcome will be given to us. Jesus made a perfect score in everything, so that God made Him, the author of eternal salvation to those who obey Him. If you are not a follower of Jesus, then you should know, that you are following the enemy, who has taken an inroad in your life.
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil your ministry.” 2 Timothy 4:3-5 (NKJV)
Endure sound doctrine with afflictions and evangelise:
Do not be carried away with the worldly doctrines, which are always Anti-Christ and misleading. We cannot be the one who compromises our walk with Christ to be friendly with the world. It would be a costly affair and in the end you might lose your entry to eternal life. Beware. Take time away from the busy life doing worldly stuff and sit with the Lord having some quiet time to know where you are in your spiritual life. Take time to praise and worship and have one to one relationship with Him and obey all His guidance that He gives you personally, and learn obedience and humility from Him, to be like Him.
“Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labours, and their works follow them.”” Revelation 14:12-13 (NKJV)
