Worry about tomorrow:
““Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:31-34 (NKJV)
Many people worry about future, even though the Lord God had brought them safely this far and should know that God will not change mind. Numbers 23:19(NKJV) Jesus is the same today, tomorrow and for ever and if He guided, provided and protected you today, He will do that forever. Amen. Hebrews 13:5-8(NKJV) Let us practice by stop worrying about ,”What will happen tomorrow”? The Lord clearly asking us to leave those things for tomorrow by just finishing what you could do today, put everything in God’s feet for Him to take care and not taking it back, but just leaving them right there. As the Lord promised, all these things Father God knows you need, and all things will be added to you. Our job is to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
Worry about the past:
“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12-14 (NKJV)
Another group of people worry about their past all the time; analysing what they did and what others did, forever. Finding out what went wrong can surely help you not to make those mistakes again, but you cannot fix the past. And you cannot blame anybody else and find fault in them, but should take responsibility and should move forward. Just going on blaming the other people and the way things went wrong, and get bitter will not help anyone a bit; rather you lose your focus for planning the future. We should learn to forgive us and others and should move on. That’s why Paul was saying that he would forget the past and keep going towards the goal he had set before him. You can definitely fix the future, because it is still in your hands and you can surely do something about it. So with that hope we face the future, God of hope will surely help us.
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”” John 16:33 (NKJV)
