”For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of those who believe. These things command and teach. Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.“ 1 Timothy 4:8-13 (NKJV)
We bring godliness into our lives by giving attention to reading the Word of God, to the exhortation of the Holy Spirit and to the doctrine preached by anointed preachers. By doing this, you develop a spiritual personality, so that no one can despise you and you can be an example to other believers – in your spoken words, in your good conducts, in showing Godly kind of love, acting wisely in your spirit being, walking in faith and living in purity; being on the guard all the time.
Reading: John 6:60-63(NKJV)
Believers of God love to read the Word of God. We never get bored of hearing the Word even it was the hundredth time we are hearing. Meditate and chew on the Word while reading. Expect the Holy Spirit to explain the Words you are reading and when a new revelation comes, which no one had ever preached, then you will feel very intimate to The Lord God and you grow closer in your relationship with Him. Ask the Lord your doubts and watch Him answering them all. Let the reading of the Word be enjoyable to all.
Exhortation: John 16:13-15(NKJV)
Holy Spirit of God will convict you of good things for you to notice, while you meditate on the Word and if any thing you should have to make a change in your life, it is only exhortation or correction, but not condemnation as some think. Jesus did not come to condemn the world, but to save: so only saving grace is extended to you. We better make the change needed, because doing the same way as you used to do, but expecting a different result is stupidity. Let us see that absurdity and make quick corrections and move forward in spiritual life.
Doctrine: 2 Timothy 3:10-15(NKJV)
These end times, many disturbing doctrines are preached, which are may be beneficial to physical life; like the physical exercises you do for your body, but spiritually of no benefit at all. So be careful. When you come to church or into God’s presence in your personal study, make sure you are learning the Word to exercise and to grow stronger in spiritual life. Once your spirit part is strong, only then the physical part of you can be strong too. This is the truth. Do not pray and ask things to have a physical life here and now, it profits little and even pagans do the same. We are spiritual beings, so pray and ask for spiritual gifts and anointing in your life to operate even more strongly.
