Jesus said, ““Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”” Matthew 12:33-37 (NKJV)
As we know God created everything by His words and we were created in His image, who also have the same word power. Words are very powerful weapon which can build things up if they are good or tear down things if they are bad. So we have to be careful what we speak and we have to receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit to purify our tongues. Our Father God had sent us the Holy Spirit as tongues of fire to speak in tongues and to prophecy. Holy Spirit fire anointing purifies our words and makes us produce good fruits that remain.
Jesus said,”A tree is known by its fruit”: Matthew 7:16-20((NKJV)
In nature everybody understands what the Lord Jesus said, a good tree cannot produce bad fruits and a bad tree cannot produce good fruits. But when it is coming to spiritual life many do not seem to understand the seriousness of what they are saying and doing. This is a big problem among Christians, the so called spiritual people. Because all the lose talks and careless words that spoken joining the worldly people will definitely make a negative effect on the confidence you have in your own words. We are supposed to be oracles of God and when we speak it will definitely produce fruits, so when the words are good then good fruits or when the words are bad then bad fruits.
Jesus said, “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”: Mark 7:20-23(NKJV) ; John 7:37-38(NKJV)
Jesus is warning here saying what is filled in your heart only comes out of your mouth. We have to be very careful what you fill your heart with in the first place. So fill your heart with Word of God and all good things about yourself and others. Do not allow anything bad and ugly to enter your heart. “Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you.” Proverbs 4:23-24 (NKJV)
Jesus said, “By your words you will be justified/ condemned”: John 12:47-50(NKJV)
Jesus is saying judgement also is given according to the words you have spoken. People concentrate on things done in action and are careless about words. So they just vent the anger out on somebody with words and feel sorry later for that and sometimes ask forgiveness also. Some think it is their right to do all that and think it works by having an upper hand over the situation and do not try to curtail. But please do not develop these kind of behaviours which are not at all beneficial to anybody. Instead encouraging, comforting and edifying words bring justification to yourself from our Lord Jesus.
