Praise God at all times – That is what Bible teaches us, Psalm34:1(ESV) and give thanks in everything. 1Thessalonians5:18(ESV) . Sometimes it seems our prayers are not hitting the target. When we are not praying according to God’s will our prayers will not be answered. Most times we pray and expect an answer immediately and if not we suspect God, get depressed and angry. We want things to be done our way and according to our timeline. But it is possible that God wants us to go through the situation and learn from the experience and not jump over it. God sees the bigger picture. Do not worry but praise – God instructs us to not be anxious about anything, but to give thanks in everything (Phil. 4:6,7) . If we stop worrying, we can hear the still small voice of God telling us why there is delay or what can we do about it. For this we need to have a heart that praises God at all times. How do we do that
- When all is well – Feel like partying? Bible asks us to do exactly that! Give praise to God alone who is worthy. Ephesians5: 18-20(ESV)
- When everything seems out of control – Still rejoice because our relationship with God is not altered by our difficulties. You are still a child of God & Jesus still loves you. Hallelujah! Romans 8:38-39(ESV).
Change the attitude: God is definitely providing all our needs. It is we who want to hurry the process or want it more abundant so that you can rest assured looking at the extra bank balance or property to feel safe. This way our trust will be on our savings and not on God. God can move and do things for you only if you trust Him. God cannot help you if you trust in yourselves or the things you kept for your future. We got to change this attitude of us. We cannot praise God in all our circumstances if we do not believe. What is the greatest challenge you are facing in your life or the greatest fear? There are many stories in Bible that shows our greatest fears and enemies are only temporary; God takes care, gets rid of them for us. Here are some examples
Jews fled from Egyptian army that pursued them; but Egyptian army perished in the Red Sea
David fled from the evil king Saul who was bent upon eliminating David; but eventually Saul perished
Elijah was scared and fled from the woman Jezebel, but Jezebel perished and Elijah did not die at all
Know and believe that our problems are there only for a short while and God is able to remove them from our lives permanently. God may sometimes allow us to experience conflict to make us realise what He meant when He said, “I will never, leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5-6(ESV) Adam and Eve were created to believe this and they could control everything around them with this belief that nothing bad can happen. So nothing bad happened to them. It was only when the devil put doubt and fear in their minds things went wrong.
Praise makes you believe in God once again . Continue to praise God when situations look bad, when things seem to be going wrong. Confess, Lord God I praise you and thank you for this experience as I go through the challenge of this disease, misunderstanding, loneliness, lack. Whatever we see going wrong in our life; when we make this confession initially it may look as if we are faking it and our emotions may say the opposite. But continue doing it. God’s presence envelopes us to strengthen, lift us up higher & higher. Praise is a positive power, God’s approach is to make every situation in our life work for us instead of against us. Praising God centres our attention on Him instead of on our problems and fills us with His peace to help us radiate His joy.
Praise the Lord anyway. We can find a promise of God for every situation we are in. Find them and go on praising God. I too praised God when I faced Bad, Impossible and Painful circumstances and got out of them all miraculously and found them reversed to my advantage. GLORY TO GOD ALONE! AMEN.
