When we see a person we see him in Body first, later when we hear him talk and behave in such a way we say it is their personality but Word of God says it is their Soul. This is how far we go in the world. When we say Spirit, nobody knows where that spirit came from (yes many will agree it is from God) and where it goes (many think it goes back to God or non-existence). That is why many do not bother about their spirit but only care about their body and soul part.
But in reality your Spirit is real you, then the Soul and then Body. Because the Spirit World is what existed in the beginning where God is Dwelling and God is Spirit John 4:24(ESV) Physical World was created from the SPIRITUAL WORLD. Matthew 17:1-3(ESV) God is showing a glimpse of Spiritual World to the disciples of Jesus. We see how Jesus Face and dress shined, how Moses & Elijah still exist and we see them talking to Jesus and hear the voice of God from a different world. We see many incidents in the Bible that reveal us that a spiritual world exists, where dwell God & His Angels and it is a Very Glorious Place.
Now we know that only through Bible we see the Spirit World. Jesus says “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” John 6:63 (ESV) When we want to see our Body we go to a Mirror and see. Same way, we have to go to the Bible, the Word of God as a mirror to see us in Spirit.
1)Spirit– God Saves : Spirit is the real you, which is going to live forever. God made sure in Jesus to restore and save you from eternal condemnation but to keep you safe with Him in heaven and fellowship with Him. All you have to do is to believe. John 5:24-25(ESV) Immediately when you are born again, you have a Spirit identical to Jesus. Vacuum sealed with Holy Spirit. Your Spirit is as pure now as you are in eternity. “But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.” 1 Corinthians 6:17 (ESV). God does this. You cannot do anything for your Spirit by doing some rituals and good works. You have to accept Jesus & His finished work on the cross. Only then your Spirit is saved and goes to heaven. Otherwise your Spirit is condemned and goes to hell.
2) Soul – you save – Soul contains 1 thoughts in Mind, 2 emotions in Heart 3 Will to decide. You set your mind according to Spirit. Negative Thoughts like- Failure, fear, guilty & depressed, sickness, you are thinking all the time; Satan takes advantage. John 10:10(ESV) Thief comes to steal and kill. Jesus said, I came to give Abundant Life. Positive Thoughts like-Success, faith, love & humility, health, peace, you are thinking constantly; God’s Power can operate. Believe what Bible says about you and your abilities. Sons and daughters of God are special. If we have a servant and he or she is not good, we change them. But we do not change our children. Thank God we are children of God!
3) BodyFollows The Soul– “Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.” 3 John 1:2 (ESV)According to the measure our soul sets itself with Spirit, our body flourishes. Proverbs 23:7(NKJV) Your body gets instruction from the brain and follows. If you put all good thoughts and keep your heart clean according to the Word Of God, not according to flesh, our Body will stay healthy. Yet it is a Body of the fallen world so it will get old and die and our Spirit and Soul depart and reach heaven. When Jesus comes again for the second time in His Glory and the Rapture takes place, we will be given a new body. Hallelujah!
