“Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?””Luke 18:6-8 (NKJV)
Holy & blameless in God’s sight by faith:
“For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. Colossians 1:19-23 (NKJV)
Father God did a perfect job of reconciliation back to Himself combining heaven and earth and made peace with mankind through His Son Jesus Christ our Lord. We were enemies of God in our mind acting like people who do not know Christ, but now we are made holy as He is holy in His sight by faith and not by our behaviour. If we could do everything right by ourselves learning all the laws and commandments, then Jesus need not go to the Cross. Jesus came to save us because it is impossible to do all the requirements of God by mankind. So stop trying to be holy but receive God’s holiness by faith as a gift and be grounded and rooted in this hope of the gospel. This is the good news that we are made holy by faith and not by any good works from our part according to God. We might see sin and weaknesses in us and others but God is not seeing that because all that is covered by the Blood of Jesus on the mercy seat. Galatians 2:21(NKJV)
Holy Spirit is received by faith and not by works:
“O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.” Galatians 3:1-7 (NKJV)
By hearing the good news faith is raised in our hearts and we received salvation. Same way we receive the Holy Spirit by faith and walk in victory by faith. Even miracles and healings we receive by faith only. Without faith it is impossible to please God. We all have to walk by faith and not by sight. Walking according to the 5 senses is flesh. If we walk in the 6th sense that is faith, we can all walk in the Spirit. So do not look at your feelings or others’ failings, confess the right things over you and others as we are in the sight of God in Christ Jesus. In this way we build each other up with right attitude instead of tearing down with wrong words. Our spiritual walk started in faith and let us continue in faith till the end. Hebrews 11:6(NKJV)
Holy Spirit bears witness in our spirits:
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” Romans 8:14-17 (NKJV)
What was binding us from coming close to God is our sin resulting in fear, but God sent His Holy Spirit to reveal to us that we need not live in this spirit of bondage again to fear. So we should make sure in our minds and be determined to set ourselves free to call God as our Father and walk in the Spirit of sonship. We inherited all that belongs to God and Jesus so confessing this truth, walk in victory and honour God for His mercy. Let God get all the glory! John 16:13-15(NKJV)
