God’s Jurisdiction:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” John 3:16, 18 (NIV)
Many have in memory the verse John 3:16 and quote without lingering on the real meaning of the word ‘Eternal life’. And the subsequent verses are giving more meaning to explain that if you fail to believe in Jesus what would happen, that you are condemned meaning, sent to hell straight away. So according to God, if we do not believe in the name of Jesus and do not obey His Commandments He gave, it is the mother of all sins and nothing else; because Jesus went to the Cross for all other sins committed by mankind and finished bearing the punishment and God will not punish people again for those sins. If He does, it is called double jeopardy in jurisdiction and so no way God is going to do that.
Advocate(Holy Spirit):
Jesus said, “But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate(Holy Spirit) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin, because people do not believe in me;” John 16:7-9 (NIV)
Even among Christians people are in the wrong about sin. Not believing in Jesus, God’s One and only Son, is sin and nothing else. We must believe that by the blood of Jesus all our sinful nature was washed off; by the stripes on the back of Jesus, sin connected sicknesses and diseases were healed; through Jesus poverty on the cross we became rich, because all curses were removed; and the evil one does not touch us, because Satan’s head was crushed by Jesus taking victory over death. We should believe in our hearts and confess in our mouths many times till we really own these blessings and have life, life more abundantly.
“Jesus said to her(Martha), “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”” John 11:25-26 (NIV) “Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”” John 11:40 (NIV)
God’s solution for all our problems are simple. Just believe on the finished work of Jesus on the cross. For the Old Testament people Cross was in the future; but for the New Testament people like us, the Cross is in the past, so it was really ‘Finished’. That means all our sins past, present and future were all forgiven and remitted in the past on the Cross. So do not be afraid, but have boldness to come before the Throne of Grace of our Father God and receive, keep on receiving all the blessedness without fail. Please make best use of God’s unconditional Love and have everlasting life.
