“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.” Colossians 1:27-29 (NKJV)
Jesus we preach:
Our preaching should not be concentrating on our sins and problems or how to rectify and fix the problems. If so then you are thinking about yourselves all the time and our focus is diverted and we end up magnifying our troubles instead of magnifying Jesus. As Apostle Paul explains that we have to preach Jesus and Him crucified for all our sins and problems to get the assurance that it is done deal. Now we are looking away from ourselves and magnifying Jesus to bring all the blessings and deliverance that is needed to set everything right.
Warning every man:
“eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honour, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;” Romans 2:7-9 (NKJV)
Again we should remember that it is all about Jesus and not about selfish indulgence and should obey the truth and not obey unrighteousness. You know God calls money as unrighteous Mammon Luke 16:9-11(NKJV). So we should seek Righteous Jesus and not money to escape God’s anger through great tribulation that is going to come. Thus it is a warning to every man as Christians too are becoming money minded all the time. Let us occupy ourselves with love of Christ Jesus who came as grace and truth.
Teaching every man:
Teach and educate about the small things that is toppling our path of righteousness with Father God. Whatever the holy requirements of God is clearly explained in the teachings of Christ Jesus written in red letters in the English Bibles. These we have to take seriously and do accordingly because these reveal the heart of Our Father and the way to operate in His Kingdom. Do not overlook saying the teachings of Jesus Christ are difficult to follow. No it is not true if so He would not have bothered to go in detail over every walk of life. Not only that Jesus has given us the Holy Spirit power to do also. Acts 1:8(NKJV)
Perfecting every man:
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” John 16:7-13 (NKJV)
We have to perfect our spiritual walk having the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit and should not be childish but be matured sons and daughter of God becoming the image of Christ Jesus.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (NKJV)
