The latest trend, among the believers too, that you should have your ways in everything and demand for yourselves the things you wanted to have, by all means only pleasing self. Whereas we as disciples of God were asked to do things that are pleasing to God; yet many pacify themselves saying I am only human, so I am allowed for a consideration to take advantage of His mercy. Jesus said it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). The one who goes on taking never gets satisfied; but end up empty, worn out and their heart condemns; and imagine all knowing God’s knowledge of your heart is greater than yours.

Receive With Meekness The Implanted Word
Like never before the Word of God is available to the whole world at the touch of one’s finger from the media. But how many of us are listening properly and getting the best out of them and receiving with meekness, is a million dollar question. Many decided in their minds they know everything and refuse to listen to sermons, and if they do, they argue about that, rather than believing to receive. As the Word explains that we are supposed to be quick in hearing and slow to speak and slow to get angry, so that we can receive the Word, which is able to save our souls.
Do Not Quench The Spirit, Do Not Despise Prophecies
As Christians we always talk about Jesus, that is very good; but we forget to know the Holy Spirit of God, which the Lord Jesus promised that He would send, when He ascended back to heaven, which we celebrate today, the Day of ascension. And after 10 days as He promised, the Holy Spirit of God was sent to the 120 disciples, who were waiting in prayer and in unity, on the Day of Pentecost. So we can be very sure that our Lord ascended to heaven and is seated on the right hand of God representing us, because the Holy Spirit of God descended to replace Jesus. Glory to God! We should make sure that we should cooperate with the Holy Spirit and walk a supernatural spiritual life. We should not quench the Holy Spirit and should not despise the prophecies from Him.
Desire A Better Country, The Heavenly Country
Many even among Christians stopped desiring heaven and seeking to go to that homeland, which Jesus went to prepare for those who follow Him. But the early believers in Christ put their faith to enter the promised land, the Heaven and considered themselves as passerby and strangers on this earth. We can read about the faith walk of our forefathers in Hebrews 11. This is the life, which is holy and set apart, which every Christian should live and walk in faith to reach there safely without fail.
Knowledge Puffs Up, But Love Edifies
Reading the Bible to have more knowledge about the subject ‘God’ and be ready with answers about the people and the incidents, where it is written and how it is written, will not help anyone to grow spiritually. The knowledge in Bible will only puff you up. We need to read the Bible or rather study the Bible, so that we come to know God and His loving Heart, so that can love Him back. Love edifies the person who mediates on God’s unfailing love. And if anyone loves God, he or she will be known by Him. 1 Corinthians 8:1-3.
God Of Patience & Comfort Grant You Like-Mindedness
Whatever incidents are written in the Bible are there for our learning: that is why all the mistakes made by people were also written, so that we can learn from their mistakes. So one got to be careful not to do the wrong things written there, thinking since it is in the Bible it should be right. We should read the verses differentiating the right things and follow those only. These are written for you to have hope, may the God of patience and comfort grant you like-mindedness.
Be Holy As God Is Holy
Children of God should not sin and should be just like our Father God. Sin will not have dominion over you, because you are not under law anymore, but under the Grace of God. Romans 6:14. But after all the power given to us not to sin by the Holy Spirit if we sin, God has given us an Advocate, Jesus Christ the righteous to plead for us. See how wonderfully the Lord God has protected us from all dangers of sin. Glory to His Name alone.
God Is Spirit So Worship Him With Spirit & Truth
When we come into the Kingdom of God with Born Again experience our spiritual journey starts. This is the kind of life Jesus came to give to us. We become a spiritual being as God is spirit and even our worship to Him must be in spirit and truth. Jesus is explaining only these kind of worshippers the Father God, who is in spirit, is seeking for. But we were all diverted from this holy moments with God and entertaining us in the soul and body. Singing beautifully by not missing a note or dancing with beautiful movements will not please God, unless we are spiritually connected to Him also.
A Man’s Enemies Are His Own Household
You may be wondering why I face lot of oppositions inside my own house, forget getting hindrance out in the world. The Lord Jesus clearly states, ““Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’” Matthew 10:34-36 (NKJV) Once you start walking according to your born again spirit, all hell breaks loose in your inner being as well as people around you, and particularly your own household members come against you. This is the Way the Lord has kept for each and every one, and we should learn to fight the good fight of faith.
Now Abide Faith, Hope, Love
Three things that concerns God and He wants His followers to do while we are under His authority; that is faith, hope and love. Among these three God’s emphasis is on love. We should not be in love with anything or anybody but should be in love with God. If our priority is to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength; then our life will be perfect as God wants us to be. “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)
