Christ Jesus was crucified as a propitiation for our sins; He paid the price so our lives could be saved. Thus salvation was given as a gift from God; made free for all who believed in Jesus. By grace we have been saved through faith. Jesus spoke seven phrases through His suffering on the cross. Here we study the first four phrases.

He has chosen you and me for a specific assignment in the Kingdom. According to His plan and purpose, we are in the right place and position to accomplish His will. Just as we read about Joseph and Esther in the scriptures He has appointed us to be right wherever and whatever we are “for just a time as this”.

There is Healing in the Body of Christ. Many have just taken Holy Communion as medicine at home and got complete healing from incurable diseases. These Lent Days when we are meditating the Lord’s death on the Cross, let us also make sure that we understand the benefits of His death is not only to remit our sins but also to heal our bodies He took up the beatings on His back. The blood is shed for our sins and the body is beaten for our healing. “that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”” Matthew 8:17 NKJV

Jesus quotes the parable of the wise and foolish virgins while teaching about the Kingdom of Heaven to His disciples and exhorts them to be watchful and emulate the wise virgins. With which group would you count yourself to be – the wise or the foolish?
Jesus Is, Devil Is Not
This is the time of Grace, God has given to the church era where Jesus is reigning and devil is not. We should make use of this Grace period to enter into the Kingdom of God before dark period comes into this world where no one can operate. So make haste and be reconciled back to God. Jesus came to bring men back to God’s bosom where we were supposed to be.

Another name to the parable is the Prodigal Son. But the names of every parable in the Bible were given by the people who have subtitled the Bible but originally Jesus went on saying some stories to the people at those days to understand better. So we can say in general, Jesus gave the stories to explain the characteristics of God and His Kingdom principles.
God’s Power Flows Out Of Us To Heal
We are taught to use anointed oil to heal people and prayed over water to sanctify the house and laying hands praying in tongues over people’s head. These things we use are effective ways to set people free of bondages and bring them to Salvation. Basically these practices show that we are anointed all the time and even the things we use and touch are purified and made clean. So it is not the other way around; the diseases and dirt are not catching us up as we fear.
The Spiritual Laws To Follow
There are Spiritual Laws to follow as there are physical laws. We all learnt lot of physical laws of Science in our educational system! To become Christians; we have to repent from sin, take water baptism and get the anointing of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. These are basic spiritual laws to obey; make sure you start with this good foundation in the Spiritual world to be spiritual people.
God Opposes The Proud
Could anyone imagine God coming against you? I guess nobody wants to be in that place; yet how many of us do things proudly to show off to our friends and relatives. And things won’t go on happening good, then wonder, why God is not helping! Your confidence about your abilities should not change into pride. So be not self-confident but put your whole confidence in God who alone is wise.
