“I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have. For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened; but by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack—that there may be equality. As it is written, “He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.”” 2 Corinthians 8:8-9, 12-15 (NKJV); Exodus 16:13-18(NKJV)
Always the thought comes, now I have, but if I need anything who would give me? But we see the way Manna came from heaven, then how some collected more and had nothing more left and some collected less, yet had enough for their family in measure! This means the Lord God is in full control in measuring the food evenly among His people. Same way our Father God will make sure His children will receive all their needs according to the size of their families and nothing to be concerned about. Moreover Our Father will be well pleased with us if we are like Him to bless others sacrificially like Jesus did on the Cross.
We should always remember our provision is from heaven where the resources are unlimited. Say a prayer and handover your request to God and live carefree believing God will provide whenever you need. Jesus taught His disciples, ““Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:25-26, 30, 32-33 (NKJV)
Are we not the followers of Jesus also, should learn these teachings and do accordingly? These kind of teachings of the Lord Jesus looks like minuscule, so we ignore and get into trouble. We have to meditate on the commandments of Christ Jesus and do without fail to have a perfect life in Him. We have to believe all that’s written are workable even it looks the opposite what the worldly men teaches us. Let God be true and all men liars. Romans 3:3-4(NKJV) Let us believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths and receive all things we need from heaven to our lives.
