“Then Pilate said to Him, “Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?” Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”” John 19:10-11 (NKJV)
Here Pilate was boasting to Jesus thinking he had the power to crucify or set free of Jesus. But Jesus clearly explained to him saying this authority God has given to you otherwise he could have not touched Him. This is how God is still sovereign controlling the whole affairs of the country leaders to do His Will on earth. This is why things go out of the hands of many great leaders and they do not understand why having all power and authority they could not control many things.
Whereas God respects individual decisions of a person giving free will, because He did not create a robot. He created everyone in His image possessing spirit, soul and body as Himself — Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, the Trinity. That is why Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus in the context above Jesus mentioned sinned greatly. God gave him free will and he chose death ultimately. What we are deciding individually matters a lot, because God is not involved if you have not given Him permission to take full control. God wants and expects us to give Him permission to guide and help us and if we do then He is more than willing to do.
Our lives God is in full control and sanctions all we need from people in authority above us. He will make sure that we His children should receive justice and incentives if we are sincerely doing our work heartily as if we are working for God. Therefore we need not fight for our rights taking things in hand, but let the Lord God have full control for us to get the best in life. Unless it is given from above no one can touch us meaning, without the permission of God no one can manhandle us. Our responsibility as I mentioned above is to choose to do the right things in the sight of God fearing Him and following all His Commandments pleasing Him not ourselves.
“These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.” 1 John 2:26-29 (NKJV)
