Obedience leads to righteousness:
“What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. Romans 6:15-16, 18-19 (NIV); John 15:5-8(NIV)
We all know who we were before you came to Jesus and should change those bad habits, bad attitudes and wrong negative thoughts. That way you crucify your flesh, the old self and walk in the newness of the spirit cooperating with the Holy Spirit, receiving the anointing. We were succumbing to sin very easily, but now it should be easy to be right in everything we think, say and do. We should meditate on the Word of God day and night. Then you speak loud with faith to make the Word get into our hearts. Only when the Word of God gets into our hearts, it produces holiness as fruits. Because heart is like a fertile land where everything grows. Having brain knowledge of the Word will not produce any results. 2 Corinthians 3:4-9(NIV)
God’s sons and daughters:
“In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all.” Hebrews 12:4-8 (NIV); John 8:31-36(NIV)
We have to be very strict with us as sons and daughters of God to condition ourselves to please God, not pleasing ourselves. Our goal should be to reach perfection as our Heavenly Father is perfect. And we need to mature quickly to be an adult and be helping in the Kingdom of God. All of us are not called just to have everything comfortable for our needs and desires to enjoy life. This attitude is what makes things worse for us, because God is not pleased; and for Christ the Lord whose desire is to save the whole world through us; so that none of the human kind should be lost or go to hell. This mission field created by the Lord God needs lot of workers, who would go to any extent to work for the Kingdom of God to be expanded here on earth. Mark 16:14-20(NIV)
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” Romans 12:1, 4-8 (NIV)
